After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

do you give a crap about Royal Wedding?

  • In my case the short answer is an emphatic no, however my wife along with many others of the female gender are watching with great interest. To each his/her own. :)
  • NO - next actually important news topic please  ::)
  • No, but it's funny seeing the Sydney TV stations giving weather info about London. Ordinarily you're almost forgotten about unless you live in N S W.
  • A wine writer friend summed it up as follows: " i hate weddings in the first place but the thought of an inbred marrying a skanky golddigger does nothing for me." ... a little discourteous perhaps to Kate [wouldn't have described her as skanky] but can't disagree with the overall sentiment - hurrumph! ;)
  • I dont watch tv and the stuff I read in newspapers doesn't convern weddings so I didn't even know it was on until this morning!
  • please tell me someone's showing the footie tonight!!!
  • Started with this as I made the Pizza dough http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtUH2YSFlVU then cranked up the amp to 11 with Pink Floyd - Pub coming up next  ;D
  • OK I'm risking my life here but I think I need to say something to balance this thread out a bit. I watched the wedding last night !  And not only that, I was at my parents' and the whole clan was there and we ordered Chinese takeaway and ate in front of the TV, ages ranged from 7 months to 84 !  The 4.5 year old was bored to death, but along with the 7 month old, both were ignored by the adults  ;D We enjoyed it, but most importantly, I'm just impressed with digital broadcast technology. And I didn't see any coffee carts in the crowd...
  • There is nothing wrong with a good Royal marriage every now and then This one was not as boring as some in the past On a personal note I love family weddings ect sometimes its the only time I get to see relatives Most of us have done it at least once Some may have married on more than one occasion   I hope its a long union, so we should let them get on with the job of making offspring KK
