I agree, $8 for a milkshake is nuts. I always think about buying a syrup but something keeps stopping me  8). I think $3.50-$4.00 is about the norm around here, I bought a medium sized skinny latte a few weeks back and I think it was $4, maybe $4.50, believe it or not it was my first takeaway coffee ever  :thumb:. As for milk I have to have it, yesterday while having my hour of paranoia I downed 3 or 4 espressos in a row, I don't know how you guys do it  :o. As for prices rising I guess I haven't been at it long enough to see any real price rises .

As a person that has been self employed and has family in the cafe restaurant trade I want to express that to setup even a modest cafe it costs $100,000 to $200.000 lots of expenses are associated to run such a business Having said that - for a business to survive and compete one needs to be aware of the market rate or you will suffer with a drop in customers and sales KK

KK Absolutely correct. I have seen people complain over a 50 cent price difference in a Vietnamese meat roll to the point of going to another shop because theirs are cheaper. Myself I couldn't care, I don't have the time/energy to worry about a $ here or there.
