Rancilio rocky grinder stuck

Hi, just got a  problem with my grinder which has the blades stuck with the beans i think.
I dont know about you guys but i cant seem to find a button or something to release the casing to clear out the blockage. Any suggestions? I've tried adjusting the grind from fine to rough but the machine just whirrs and nothing comes out.

G'day Btang and welcome to the forum. If your grinder is making a whirring sound, it doesn't sound like the burrs have jammed up with beans. A stalled/jammed grinder would make a loud humming noise, as the motor would be unable to start. This advice is from memory, and I'll give you two scenarios, so bear with me

i hear like something's moving when i start it, so i guess it might be the machine. i tried turning it anti-clockwise, but nothing happens when i turn it to the extreme as well as to the other side. Do you reckon its more of a parts problem? It stopped when i was grinding a second time after putting a new bag of beans.

If you look down into the hopper so you can see the top of the burr (I think there's a nut on top of it) and then turn the grinder on, you should be able to see the nut moving. If so, the grinder hasn't stalled.

As I replied in the other post, you will probably have to remove the hopper by unscrewing the screws inside the hopper. Once the hopper is off, you should be able to remove the upper burr.

When you say the grinder stopped, what exactly happened? What did you hear, see and smell? Where are you located, it may make it easier to assist if the problem can't be diagnosed over the 'net'. Good luck with it.

i live around albert park-i think i'll try and look for a place where they might be able take a look at it. the place i bought it from is pretty far (Glen Waverly) Thanks for the help!
