After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Melamine scandal in China
The Standard newspaper in Hong Kong reports that Taiwanese company King Car has recalled packs of its Mr Brown instant coffee and milk tea containing contaminated milk powder imported from mainland China.
This is in addition to the recall of a variety of milk products, the most recent of which is six brands of Nestle baby milk formula, which were pulled from supermarket shelves in Hong Kong.
So far, more than 12,800 infants have become sick and four babies have died in the mainland after being fed baby formula laced with the banned industrial chemical melamine.
