After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Breville BES900 3-way solenoid gasket


For those that may be out of warranty,  or will be at some stage, I have included a pic of the latest gasket / seal for the Breville BES900 3-way solenoid.


This should assist in the management of heat from the head to the Solenoid and resolve the malformation of o-rings that were used previously.

    AM,         are these parts  ( and other seals, "O" rings etc) .. available to the general public, or are they only for use by approved repair shops ? If generally available, what is the best source ?

    As i suspected ! Typical shortsighted protectionism on someones part. Nothing to stop joe public dismantling his m/c  and replacing the "O" ring  with a similar replacement , but prevented from using the correct part. !  ::)

    Sorry, i can not agree with that  "protectionist" concept. My view is.. Its my m/c, i will do what i like with it. !,.. same with computer, car, dishwasher, etc etc If you dont look, you dont understand and never learn. That is the same attitude as the Chinese restrictions  of the internet and many books. :tearhair:

    Hello! I'm hoping someone's still active in this thread. Does anyone know how to get a hold of one of those gaskets?  I just removed my solenoid block to find the ashed remains of two o-rings... Thank you!

    Hi, I don't know where you can get the actual Breville ones, but generally orings are available locally. I think I got mine from a local bearing shop in Nambour.  Google, phone up and ask for foodgrade o rings (usually red from memory). Let us know how you get on.  Any breville service agent should be able to sell you the parts I should think.
