After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Coffee Cart & How Many Coffees an Hour?
Hi, i was wondering if i could get some answers or vaugue ideas on a couple of questions.
ill start by saying that i am new to this forum and to commercial coffee.
I am looking at opening up a semi permanenet coffee cart and am in negotiation on a location situated between two large (10 story each) office buildings. Im making a very very rough estimate but assuming these two buildings would have around 1500-2000 people occuping them.
I would liek to know, with these sort of numbers, roughly how many coffees could you expect to sell a day.
What times are the peak periods.. im assuming around 8am-9am?
How many coffees could you expect to sell in the peak periods?
Should i be looking to invest in a 2 group coffee machine or a 3 group?
How many coffees can you make flat out (depending on experience) in a given time period (ie 5 minutes or a minute or something like that)
As im new to the commercial side of coffee, any tips, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time
Andy
