After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Desperate Starchucks sells out?

Wall Street analysts were cautiously optimistic about Starbucks Corp.'s new instant coffee, but said Wednesday that even a successful product launch will not be enough to turn the company around.

Starbucks formally unveiled the new coffee, called Via, at an event Tuesday in New York. The product is now available for purchase online and will be sold in Seattle and Chicago stores beginning March 3. Online orders will also be shipped then. Via will be launched nationwide in the fall.

The instant coffee comes in two varieties - Colombia and Italian Roast - and will be available for purchase either in a 3-pack for $2.95 or a 12-pack for $9.95.

Jefferies & Co. Inc. analyst Jeff Farmer said Starbucks should be applauded for pursuing every possible revenue opportunity, but that traffic in stores must grow for the stock price to rise.
