Coffee Arguments

I think the important thing to do when entering Strong debate. Is to remember that its not personal. If you don't like strong debate, dont involve yourself.
People with very strong opinions will inevitably become agressive about their ideas when they are challenged. Without a solid ego, how will achieve in getting across your model effectively.
If anyone has been offended by back and forth between me and others or even yourself. Suck it up a little. I'm probably never gonna meet you.
And really, whats the harm in a little tustle hey.
I'll try not to be so harsh in the future......maybe!!!

Caspresso, good on you you have kick started this forum again so if someone has gotten their nickers in a knot they need to go and have a coffee and realise that this is a place for discussion and opinion (which may not always be right). Good to see a breath of fresh air.

I think you need to pull away from these conversations spilly. I can handle the coffee arguments. And I'll say again to you as I did in the personal letter. Me and psaigh have an understanding. Greg was an unfortunate casualty in a heated debate. But I am not personally attacking anyone. And all of the stirring I have done was for the good of the coffee

Just to reiterate, my approach is to excite deep discussion and educated opinion. I might say. Look at my last post in "dose and grind consistency". I think you'll see that my opinion changed very quickly about a few of my initial approaches. I choose to move forward...thats why I'm here

I'm all for heated debate - especially if it comes from a place of informed opinion, however I think that a ruggedly dogmatic approach does little to inform the individual, and less for the industry - besides which, the proof is in the cup! I think if you're gunna lay your opinions on the line then you should open yourself up to the same amount of scrutiny that you are potentially judging others by, otherwise debate degenerates into smoke and mirrors... cheers, Pat

Why is it that coffee forums have to be polite. It's an exciting thing this black princess, of insane and sumptuous swagger. Why hold it down tight and politely express our violent opinion. I love coffee, and that love is of two wild swine in the throws of species survival. A tumultuous passionate embrace, of both joy and fear. the rush of the taste, and the rush of my heart, Slamming against each other for the right to lead, a primal struggle of fight or flight. Does that sound polite to you.....I think not!!
