After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Another new toy.

Was in the Adelaide Peter Stevens showroom the other day and a 2007 Triumph Bonneville T100 caught my eye, guess you know the rest ::) it's now parked happily in my shed.
The image is not my bike, have yet to take any decent shots, it is very similar, same colour, model etc, mine has been tricked up a bit, custom paint, exhausts etc, it really is a thing of beauty. ;D

  • man that is one lovely bike!
  • Thanks for that, I'm pretty pleased with it. Sorry about the image size, I cant even see the modify or delete buttons so am unable to modify it. :-[ Have been having trouble finding a decent image hosting site lately, used to use Photobucket but there are problems there now, will just have to keep looking.
  • I will just leave you with ?? >> A sweet sound of vrooom vrooom  ;D KK

I don't get into bikes, not really my thing. But that is one very nice bike, I like it!
  • Very nice looking piece of machinery Dry Bean, I could certainly imagine wasting a day or two polishing up all that chrome. I never really got into the English bikes, I was into the Japanese sports bikes when I was a young bloke (pre marriage and kids  ;)). No doubt you'll enjoy it and get many good years of enjoyment with it.
  • ok call me a luddite but for the life of me I cant seem to figure out how to load a photo onto the crema forum - ideas anyone?
  • You have to use the 'reply' button on the last message, then click on the blue 'Additional Options' link which will open up the page further. Click on the 'Browse' button to find the picture on your computer. Alternatively, you can use the 'Image' icon which you can use to upload a photo from a site, such as Flickr, Photobucket, etc. Hope this helps, Steve.
  • Ummmm, blue 'Additional Options' link, I see nothing like this on my page. ???
  • Its under preview only Dry Bean not on quick reply KK
  • What am I missing here KK, are there changes I need to make to my profile/settings or other, we seem to be viewing different sites. ???
  • No you cant This is a moderator activation function KK
  • Is there a solution?

Its centre weighed located above the crank shaft (the tin can looking thing) and drives the chain direct - so the power goes directly where it needs to go with no lag time and excellent torque And because it's driven through the gears, the faster you ride the faster you go! Even without pedalling a comfortable cruise speed of 32km per hour is achievable, and maintaining 40km per hr whilst pedaling is certainly achievable - although it does require some effort Some folks say 'an electric bike? That's not a real bike' - I usually just smile and wave politely as I'm passing them by... What this bike DOES do is beat the traffic to work most mornings, and it takes you to your ideal speed necessary for sustaining an aerobic workout, more quickly, and you are able to sustain the aerobic workout rate for longer And did I mention that it goes like the clappers? P
  • Sounds like something I would use but because I work at night I am a little cautious as to the dangers of riding at night Still its a thought to be used in my daylight hours What brand & price ?? KK

brand is aseako as it says on the frame they've got an australian website where this unit retails for $1500 I got mine from the same folks through an ebay listing for $1050 including freight - so very reasonable really I've been road testing ebikes for years and thus ones the goods - and its about half the price of an equivalent unit in terms of specs and performance - the australian quality ebike market is dominated by one main player, with prices to match (though admittedly a very good product and service), so its nice to get a great bike at a price that's affordable not that you'd know it to look at me but I was smashed up pretty bad in a car / bike accident many years and I treat this bike as a mobility aid as well as a great way to get around... p

Morning KK, you prompted me too buy a bottle of Maple syrup yesterday (the real McCoy) and give it a try. First impression is, too little as in half teaspoon = little difference, too much 1.5 teaspoon  = sickly sweet, 1 spoon, hmmmm ok, perhaps still a little on the sweet side, this from a self confessed user of the dreaded white sugar. ::)

You need to find your tolerance level For signature drinks I add all sorts of stuff to the syrup, sometimes heated- sometimes cold, and then taste test I have tried sweet chilli sauce, pepper, squeezed lemonade fruit, just to name a few also combinations Then add to espresso I will crack it one day - an irresistible concoction Maybe I can call it the Koffee Kosmo surprise KK

Chilli sauce, ha, reminds me of an instance last summer, served myself a bowl of vanilla ice cream one night went to the cupboard grabbed the strawberry topping and applied a generous slurp, back to the TV and casually spooned some into the mouth aaaarrrrghhh, yuk, patoooey, I'd used sweet chilli sauce instead of strawberry, trust me chilli sauce and vanilla ice cream are not a good combination. :P
