After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Add some Protection to your Grinder
On many occasions I have experienced and or seen the result of metal objects in grinders.
On some systems I have seen a magnet embedded in the fingerguard, but more often than not there is nothing...
I have been using a magnetic tape that is stuck around and inside teh neck, but it is not a powerful as I would like.
If you do a search for Rare Earth ring Magnets and you will find at least one Australian supplier that offers low numbers at a cheep price.
I use a metal self tapping screw and put through the hole and then screw into the underside of teh finger guard. Many of teh guards have a post and a hole just waiting to be used!!!!
Depending on your Grinder you may need to go to a larger ring magnet and just include a washer to put teh screw through as teh big ring magnets usually have a large centre hole.
But some are OD 20 x ID 4 x 12.7mm Ring and trust me NO bit a stray mettale will get past it ;D ;D
Note: Does not offer protection to non ferrous bits such as glass or ceramics.
