After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Photo sharing site

edited January 1970 in Off-topic
G'day all,
I currently use Photobucket for storing online my extremely limited amount of photos, but I was thinking of changing to another one.
Does anyone have any recommendations that they'd care to share?
Thanks in advance,
Steve.

I'm using  http://my.imageshack.us/registration/index.php Steve, seems ok, was using Photobucket but had some issues, both of these sites are free, guess you get what you pay for. ::)
  • I tried using picassa web albums to upload photos and to post to Crema but I couldnt get I to work so I changed to photobucket - but what about flickr?

As I said below, Imageshack seems pretty simple and works here, I have major problems with Photobucket.
  • I ended up trying Picasa, but also could not load an image onto Crema for my avatar  ???. I might give Flickr a go.
  • Photobucket works for me.  Use the bulk uploaded rather than the basic one (always crashes onme) Also you just have to click the link and paste to the forum.  Easy.
  • hi guys - realise this is slightly 'off topic', but have started re-populating our Gallery now, after some techie fixes & you might find it worth a quick look - some nice latte art stuff & some pour shots, plus some lovely naked' pics - take a look at Gallery from the home page or just click the direct link: http://www.bestcafes.com.au/gallerynew PS if you have any coffee pics that you want loaded, just email through at [email protected] A ps perfect for Pat-type 'hipstomatic' I-Phone shots!
  • Just a quick post to remind those having issues with posting photos that you can easily upload them to the likes of photobucket (there are many more sites like this) and then link on the post you make here. Personally I like photobucket, because you can post a thumbnail of the photo, and it also has an iphone app for uploading photos, you can also share albums, and I've used it to privately share video too friends and family by making sure the album is password protected.
  • I cant work out how to share a album with the forum yet have it protected so its not free for the world to see it by googling - can it be done or is it either password protected or full on public viewing ? The first album I posted was password protected yet I thought ( wrongly) that if I had posted it that would be good enough for all on the forum to see it. Not the case. I have seen individual photos posted but the rest of the album is protected. Buggered if I know. I think, for me anyway, uploading straight from my putes is easiest. Sure you can only do 4 at a time but thats ok, just do another post if more are required.
