After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Modified Hoppers to home use....
Did a test and it can be done with care...
1: If the hopper has parallel sides.
Then I have a good chance of cutting and re machining the step to allow the same lid to fit.
2: If it has tapered sides, then if one has a lid that is of the size required.
Then with care, one can cut down and machine a step to suit the new lid.
3: Eureka Mignon Elettronic is a bit of a pain as it has a square hopper.
But with care, if you have teh full sized hopper, it can be cut down if you take care and use a very fine tooth blade. And lots of patience.
PS. Stuffed one, but was lucky as the guy had a Tupperware lid that fitted and he was happier with the outcome.
Anger on Hoppers - Not baby Hrasshoppers ;D
