After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

By products of processing beans and uses - before the green

edited November 2011 in Green Beans
So lets start with some possible outcomes...

Background:

I once asked about possible use of so called waste products, pulp etc  and got poo pooed

I have found that the fruit is quite palatable - Different but not gross or off like.

The Mucilage is very sweet and not unlike others... The hard part is getting ones teeth to scrape it off, without swallowing the whole bean  ;D ;D

Have added coffee flower's to some tea products here at home, but did not have enough, so never followed up...  ( with 14 trees, I may have enough in two years to try)

Still want to try turning a bit of coffee wood to see how it might work out.

The WBC 2011 Champ has opened up the concept; that there may be more yet we can use from the tree and thus be more cost effective and more inclusive of the total tree.

So how long before we see speciality shops doing Coffee flower infused  drinks or even a Mucilage ?

And if so do they call it a tea or just an infused drink OR something different ?

Anger on lets  go with the new - I will when my next crop is due.
