This morning's little offering. The (black) 13 month old who is to all intents and purposes pretty much a fully grown dog, still thinks he's a puppy and spends most of his time with the two 4 month olds. Here they are having had a bex and a bit of lie down together. Unstaged, as found. Photo taken through window at a silly angle, if you try and go outside to do a proper job of it, they move and the photo opportunity evaporates!

Mornin A. Ain't Labs characters? our 4 year Old "Missy" is a constant source of entertainment, constantly redefines the word comfort, and how best to attain this state, no modesty whatsoever when sleeping on the back with legs splayed in all directions. ::) ;D

The excitement of it all calls for something quick and dirty...so here it is. Born between lunchtime and about an hour ago... All comfortably laying in front of the fire, a balmy 22 degrees, dark outside, overhead light has a couple of different 11 watt "neon" type globes (1 is cool white and the other is warm white / why not?....ergo of indeterminate white balance). 50mm lens @ F1.4, ISO 3200, no flash, 1/60th sec., white balance at 3300 K, overexposed 2/3 of a stop.. Yes it was quick and dirty, a "disposable" photo. Would anyone care to spot the actual number of puppies?

I like the chocolate Labrador's Looks like 7 puppies to me as well but it could be 8 KK

And now for something completely different.... Photos straight from phone, late evening before last. An injured buck, probably around 7 years old, approximately 50 kg, 6 foot tall fully erect.....the best sets of claws this side of the black stump (wouldn't want to get in the way of them...). Caught by placing a (big) calico bag over his head and chest and pushing him over (NOT for the feint hearted, he wasn't well but that didn't mean he felt the need to be cooperative), and jabbing him with hypodermics as quick as, to put him out for a while. He is now in kangaroo hospital waiting to see if he is going to make it or not.

yeah me too. I hope he makes it. Thing is most (me included) would have put him out of his misery straight up. But the nice lady from the local native rescue group thought it would be worth taking a closer look at his injuries before doing that. And then once you've taken part in the "rescue", you are a lot more likely to give the poor bugger the benefit of the doubt. This one could go either way as he wasn't that far gone, just depends on how well (or not) he responds to treatment in the next couple of days.  Keep yas posted

Afraid he didn't make it. Over a period of a few days it looked as if he was going to, but was found dead one morning. Most probable cause of eventual death = myopathy.
