After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

what factors into making somewhere successful? I am going to take a dive into a saturated cafe industry and would like to hear from people who have been there.

    A good lease is the start.  Then there is also patience - never rush into any decision regardless of how much pressure anyone is giving you. Stay out of the CBD - rent too high and demand too high = rushing to make product, never good quality. Talk to those in the industry at your favourite cafes - even arrange interviews with free lunch for them.  Invest in freinds in the industry and listen to them.

    I agree with you too many cafe in the cbd but..quality is there in most of them and it helps to know people in the game you learn a lot by doing what i do ..listen to your elders they were there before most of us ..OE
