After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

  • Just a heads up, I can't follow the link as my NOD32 picks up a virus ScrInject32.B.Gen Trojan attached to gallerynew[1].htm
  • Yeah apparently it infects your FTP program and then goes on to infect the htm and html files on your server. It does this by adding source code to to the end of such pages after all other content - possibly shows up before footer. My mistake before though it is ScrInject.B.Gen  not  ScrInject32.B.Gen Cheers,
  • Hi guys - we've taken a look at this on a variety of computers and haven't been able to pick up anything... if you have a similar virus warning, please can you let us know... in the meantime, we've asked our web guys to look at it - if you're at all worried, perhaps don't click on it, until we've managed to get to the bottom of why Muscles is getting this warning message. cheers A
  • looks fine to me.  AVG with link scanner not showing anything.
  • Norton's also flagged a problem
  • Same as Borat AVG no worries Gra..
  • I'm running 6358 which is a few versions after the update you are suggesting. There are now about 10 programs reporting the same malicious code (on other sites) now, but they are using different names for the virus.  I would have thought it was a false positive but it did affect DeviantArt and a few other big online communities - even FB. No issue for me as NOD deletes the pages from my cache before executing them. I have forwarded files to NOD for inspection so we will see if they come back with anything.
  • Hi guys - this is response I got back from our web guys - I guess this means from their point-of-view, they're pretty certain it's OK: "Just taken a look for the ScrInject.B.Gen. After doing some searching it looks like this can be a false-positive which Nod32 (especially outdated versions) will sometimes report. It's more than likely due to how the Gallery software is integrated into the page, and not that there's any actual threat on the site. The only thing I can suggest to the guys on the forum if to ensure their anti virus us fully up to date, or to try a different antivirus program." A
  • on 1312795120:
Vipre pro and no warnings.  However it appears that at least one Virus apps detect (ESET  Nod32) flag this issue and plenty on Google about it. NOD32 just released an emergency update wich fixed this problem. Please make sure that your Virus Signature Database is running on 6348 instead of 6347. If not, do a manual update to get the lastest version. Source(s): http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110803082436AAhHrsU I'm running the latest NOD 32 version 6360 and am still getting the virus alert... today was the first time it popped up Thus it looks like a issue with the Virus app / definition but always pays to be carefull.
  • Hey guys - have had several queries as to whether we accept contributions to the gallery from forum members - the answer is a definite 'yes' - will hopefully be able to get back to those people who were asking tomorrow. A
