After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Now that's a bit of a worry
I didn't notice this until I was long gone, but here's the 'best before' date bought from a local roaster at the markets this morning. I was desperate, so might've bought it anyway!
I know that roast dates are a contentious issue, but I can't really see these beans as being good a year from now. Hell, they're not particularly good
now! I suspect they're trying to ramp up to supply supermarkets.
My guest actually said that although my home roasts were strong (more on this in another thread), they didn't have the bitter aftertaste that this did.
I found it fairly weak and uninspiring - almost like a weak macchiato and with very little body. It did have ok crema. The roaster told me it was a strong blend.
