Thanks fellas.  :thumb: My choice of roaster would have been the KKTO, but due to the limited amount of beans i had, it had to be the FZRR baby roaster. The mexican beans were tricky since i never roasted mexicans before. I picked it because the tasting notes said it has good bold flavours which would go well with milk.

Thanks again. I will however continue to use the sponsors of this fine forum for the majority of my bean purchases. i somehow like to support the underdogs, as their quality has always been very good, and they deserve my support as a result.

In all my baby-and-work business I've missed this until now. Considering it was in my neck of the woods, I'm very disappointed! I was chatting to the girls and guys at Edge Espresso, my local in Caloundra and they mentioned some of the roasters had been in for a chat. I'll be passing on the donor popper from Brett to one of the girls there whose expressed an interest in roasting (if that's ok with you, BrettH, of course!). So who wants to put their hand up for being responsible for converting her to our lunatic passion?

Kelsey, sadly it's not open to the public mate or I would have dragged you down there with me!  It's in the 100s of $$$ to attend, which is a shame, a public day would be fantastic so that you can actually see what goes on, and meet some of the leaders in the industry. Also I do think the costs for home roasting section was pretty high and deterred a lot of people.  Myself included.  Not everyone has $70 odd to throw at a comp.
