After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

SOLD: La Cimbali M27 Start, 2 group & Anfim Lusso grinder (restored)

As the big move overseas is fast approaching, and the new (old) lever resto is almost done, it's time to say goodbye  :'(  :'( to my last resto project which has served faithfully over the past couple of years.

What's on offer is a La Cimbali M27 2 group & and an Anfim Lusso grinder, both of which have been painstakingly restored and used only at home for 6-8 coffees a day.  The Cimbali produces a very high quality of espresso, and has massive steaming power.  I have had some of the best shots I've ever tasted out of this machine & grinder combo....

The machine was FULLY stripped, front stainless steel panels polished, all painted panels have been professionally sprayed with metallic silver, and every seal & gasket replaced.  Every component was dismantled, and full dissasembly right down to the frame. It has a new vibe pump, two new solenoid valves, teflon anti-vac, and a very expensive custom made 'incalloy' (type of stainless) element that should last the life of the machine.  It also has a new stainless steam wand.

Since the resto, it has only been used with a water softener & filter, and was recently descaled (didn't really need it), and had new seals fitted.

Included with the machine are two Cimbali group handles, a naked handle, two synesso 15gm baskets and a Pullman tamper customised to fit them.

The grinder has had new original Anfim burrs fitted, a new hopper, new doser glass, the doser professionally polished, the timer replaced with an original backlit Anfim power switch, and the body sprayed metallic silver to match with the 2 group.

Price is $3000 for both, including the tamper & other bits as described.  The machine is still connected and available for anyone to try out and taste a shot from.

Here's some pics taken at the time of the resto, but it still looks pretty much exactly the same.
