I've said this before but when I was working as a sommelier I would taste wine on a regular basis with the some of the county's finest importers winemakers etc - and I'll neve forget asking a prominent importer about a particular wine - to which he said, "what do you find in there?" after I explained he replied, "back your palate - your judgement is as valid as any others" which made me feel a whole lot less intimidated by mixing it up with the big wigs, whilst at the same time to have confidence and to start to take note of my own findings, and to compare and contrast them to others its a very similar journey with coffee in many ways - each person's experience is valid and we grow and build upon our observations...
