Fun at Bezzera

I had a bit of fun today at Bezzera waiting for my beloved Betsy to be spruced up again.

KK dropped by and what with a lively customer and Bezzera's Chris joining in the chat, we had a bit of a mini social going. Just the tonic I needed after a couple of stressful working weeks.

I also got to play around on the Strega, which is as much fun as KK says it is. Now I really want one of these things. House deposit first!



In the end, it came down to a tiny little thermal cutout for the steam switch that was also interfering with the brew temp for reasons unknown. All working now (although the machine has been reset to 86

Glad you got it sorted.  It's a pity they don't have service agents on the sunny coast though. Still a good chance to play with levers.

Thanks Lacehim. It's a big drive from Caloundra to Coopers Plains - I was stuffed when I got back - but at least I'm not even *further* away. God help me if I was in Gympie. I really, really enjoyed playing with the Strega. It was a little disconcerting at first, that the pump noise cuts out at the point the coffee starts flowing.... I could get used to it tho.... Here's how contra deals work in this family: 1) Bartercard is out: if the work is done for someone else, you have to get paid for it 2) No getting existing clients to pay for gear 3) You can contra anything you like, provided you still make real money that month 4) You have to contra directly with either the supplier of the contra or someone in a related industry who wouldn't have otherwise paid for the service So I'm looking for Bezzera retailers with shocking websites that need their online strategy reworked and their site redone. Social media and reputation management too, if they need it. Depending on the scale, might need a grinder thrown in as well as the Strega.  :rofl:

I was sad to miss the opportunity but when a shower recess starts to leak and there are two small kids needing a bath...  :'(. I was near enough to you guys at Trade Tools direct getting a Multitool bit to remove grout but that's where my fun ended!!

Nup, grout with an additive and sikaflex.  Speaking of pucked, that aptly describes the job the former owners did of waterproofing and tiling.  A completely new bathroom is now on the cards.  Luckily the one I built downstairs isnt pucked!

The spa is a definite but underfloor heating is not needed in Bris.  I'll also cantilever the vanity and steal some of the cupboard space behind the bathroom for a recessed storage unit.  The big expense will be the waterproofing membrane being a wooden house with an upstairs bathroom.  Whole job should come in at 2.5 Stregi given the serviceS are already in situ.

Sounds like a worthy upgrade. And how many actual Stregi will be installed as part of that cost?

Do yorself a favour Brett and use Wetseal Australia for the waterproofing. Nothing else comes close, written warranty and well priced too.
