After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

oh none left

just went to bean green site to order another 10kg's of Honduras El Filo Cup of Excellence and its gone, i shed a tear as i type this . over this weekend i kept getting told how good my coffee was from people traveling through , one couple told me it was the best they had had for years . another said it was miles ahead of zarafas( spell ) or some thing like that9 have never had a coffee there ) and another couple said i should be in sydney making coffee not out in the bush .( but i'll stay in the bush thanks i never left brisbane for the bush for no reason ) anyway back on track anyone know of another bean that is very close to that honduras bean that i can roast and use as an SO coffee .

  • Hi Jono, See if Brendan can get you the Kenya Mchana Peaberry. Hopefully he still has some left. (send him an email as it I don't think its listed on the website) I know the Honduras El Filo COE well, I roasted it up for Nigel Giacomi (Nth Qld Barista Champ) to use for competition. The dominant apricots was a real standout. http://www.abc.net.au/local/videos/2011/12/21/3395766.htm The Mchana Peaberry also has abundant apricots. This is definitely worth getting if you liked the El Filo. Cheers Mark

I advised OP of this fact via a PM. Haven't had a reply though.
  • Unfortunately, I can't let any more of the Honduras or Guatemala COE go......it's secured for one of my contract customers and whilst I have about 100kg of each remaining, that will not go very far.
  • its ok guys ( sorry have not been back in here for a few days , death in the family funeral this saturday) anyway i managed to get another 15 kg's of said beans  ;D ;D ;D
  • You wouldn't happen to want to part with a tiny amount for someone that has never had a COE would you
  • I had a couple of boxes  stashed  for personal use. But have stopped being greedy put back up online if anyone else wants any. Texx i'll save another vac pac for you. Cheers Brendan.
