So you'll be removing the lever handle for travel? This is looking great, a really unique 'experience' coffee. Makes me want to do it myself!

A couple of things immediately struck me when looking at the latest photo. looks like the fold out side window can double as a counter. A flat, non-slip, easy wipe surface would be good. When the roof is raised, it seems to be held by gas struts.  You may want an additional means to lock it in place, depending on how windy it can get.

The  handles are getting a little makeover and wont fit when the roof is down,they screw in so not really a problem. The roof has been over engineered to be strong as possible. We went through a few different options and the one used in the end is basically a super heavy duty piano hinge that runs the length of the roof. A wooden counter is going on runners so will slide when opened down. Still lots to do,some kind of awning and some graphics,sound system and thw cab needs a tidy. Will get a few more pics of the machine and other bits up over the next few days:)

Still got a little bit to do but feels good now its in the driveway. Best bit is that its pretty much exactly what i had imagined when i set out to do this. Big thanks to everyone here,would have been lost without all the help. If i can sort a bottle of gas i will get a few vids of the fracino doing what its ment to be doing:)

Counters all cut to size,was gonna put it on runners but would mean 2 pieces so might just leave it as o e and just lift it into place when needed.

And it turns out white probably wasnt the smartest choice for the interior:) Might add some vinal print maybe,it needs a bit of colour!

Im sure you know those roller awnings are stock items in camper shops.. and cheap !

This is how she sits at the moment,just a few bits of paperwork holding my up at the minute but will be on the road very soon:) Been busy painting the cab and sorting doorpanels and headliner so keeping busy. Settled on Vintage Flair as a business name for ,kinda fits the overall look im going for. Lotta interest frompeople passing by and a few bookings for weddings over the next few months so at least im on the right track,just need to sort a regular coffee run and i will be happy.

Been a while since popping in...We have been on the road for 6 weeks now and are starting to maintain a regular run during the week...Plenty of sporting activities on the weekend and a fair few bookings are popping up..so all and all we are pretty happy..heres a few photos would love you guys feed back on what you think...thanks...hope ive posted this to the right place i get a little confused on this site..haha

Been reading this thread carefully with plenty of interest as I,ve got a mobile coffee van business on my mind for the future. That combi van certainly is eye catching, and it;s got that feel good, beatles kinda sort of look about it. Business may start slowly, but with great coffee, products and great service, you get good word of mouth advertising soon enough and the bookings start rolling in. Would like to know how do you start establishing clientele and what is your general feeling during this early stage of your chapter? Sub-Ju, would also like your feedback on how you got started, together with client base build up. Thanks in advance.

Think ive kinda hit a wall ,at least  mentallly anyway.Its the worst thing about putting a personal touch to any project,in eveyone elses eyes its perfect but theres always something that could be better in mine:) I missed out on 2 regular pitches at the local "farmers" markets while waiting for permits and its getting late in the season here so may have to focus more on the regular route. Wedding a few weeks back went really well,ended up doing coffee from abt 4 in the afternoon til well after 1 in the morning(appearantly the coffee was that good). Also somehow managed to get a spot at a weekend music festival towards the end of August so got a silly amount of work and planning for that too. Will keep this updated over the next few days as i figure out where i go from here, probably step back for a day or two and clear my head then pudh on and get on with it. Comments and suggedtions always welcome,wouldnt have gotten this far without them:)
