After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Fruit and Veg

Hi Folks,
I am opening up a small espresso bar in Annandale in Sydney and was wondering if anyone had any advice about Fruit and Veg Suppliers ?

  • Competing with the Little Marionette huh? Nice work!
  • By far the best option is to hit the markets yourself.  That way you know what you're getting, instead of dealing with what you're given.  You also get the opportunity to see things as they first come in season, and can create specials as you see fit.

As a former owner of 3 fruit shops I believe that this has merit and is the best overall option however time is the Achilles heel unless you have a partner / better half to do it or hold the fort down KK
  • I don't see us in competition.  They roast their own beans and have a very specific clientele.  I even spoke to Ed today about our opening and he kindly suggested several of his suppliers who he thought could help.
