Road Trippin'

So, due to a bunch of piss poor planning we are left with a week - ish of nothing to do before going over to Straddy for a couple of weeks in early Feb. What is one to do - road trip of course. We want to head south with the first stop being Dubbo. Next day we will do the Zoo and probably spend the night in Dubbo again. Next up is Jenolan Caves with a over night near by. Then down to Canberra to do the mint and war memorial and other Canberra type stuff. On the way back we will go up the coast to check out un-chartered territory. All up we should have 6 or 7 days. We are after other cool stuff to do or see on route and of course coffee joints worth a stop. Accommodation is always the great unknown so any recommendations are most welcome - as are places / things to avoid  :D

don't know the route, but if you are passing Parkes/Forbes, the dish is worth a visit.

Last time I recommended a place to you, you came back referring to it as "Piss Weak World", so I'm reluctant to suggest things. Will see if there is anything I can think of. I know the hunter valley is meant to be worth a stay though.
