do you mean the Factory ?..or in the photo ?   The Photo is a pair of bag (pouch) filling machines. The Add says quite clearly what the factory does..roasts, grinds, and packs . It also  brews & extracts for drying into instant coffee..  ( both evap dry and vac dry ). There is no mention of Pod capacity or equipment, but that is just another packaging option for the ground product. Pod production and filling is specialised and expensive so i doubt they would have it in such a relatively small facility. They may supply TO most of Europe, but they certainly cannot supply most of the coffee  Europe  needs,.. with only 3950 T/yr capacity. That is only the similar size to the DE plant in Sydney which is only one of many roasters in Oz. The Price ..$1M ??? ..that wouldnt even buy the land , never mind the equipment or the established  "business"

interesting, thanks Con. I thought it did say something about the land included, another add they were asking for a partner maybe they want to gear up for pods? like them or not, pods will be the future so it seems.

No denying pods are a rapidly growing coffee sector, but i suspect it is replacing much more of the "Instant"    and possibly the "pre-ground" market,  than the whole bean  coffee market. It would be a brave ( and wealthy) business man who invests several million  in a pod filling facility without a long term , large volume, contract. There are too many pod systems, shapes, sizes, capacities, etc ...many still patent protected or " fixed contract", and you wouldnt want to lock into a system that may  not  be popular or get superseded. so its a bit like deciding which horse to back when the stakes are high.

..and don't forget this is in Kiev, Ukraine so you would need to know about doing business in this country.

There are too many pod systems, shapes, sizes, capacities, etc ...many still patent protected or " fixed contract", and you wouldnt want to lock into a system that may  not  be popular or get superseded. so its a bit like deciding which horse to back when the stakes are high.

People are still confusing pods and capsules - they are distinctly different and the only common relationship is being single-serve portion control. A capsule brews in a container or chamber whilst an ESE POD extracts using some similar methods to an espresso machine which is why capsules are contained within some type of impervious cup whilst an ESE POD is in tissue and then sealed. A well designed capsule system can handle many types of consumables as they have adjustable grind, dose, flush & seal options as well as being able to be setup for foil or plastic packaging using various die sizes for holding the empty capsules prior to the fill and seal options (and optional atmospheric flush).

Interesting find... List of equipment = instant coffee The photo shows nothing more than 2 x VFF machines (vertical form fill = a packing machine that weighs out the quantity of product chosen to be packed, forms and makes the bag/packet from a roll of flat film (called rewind), drops the product in and seals it, dropping the formed and filled pack out the bottom (or onto a conveyor....).  Listed / claimed / advertised year of establishment of business = 2011 But claimed number of establishements using the product = 7000 Total production capacity - 3950 tonnes per year, including: - soluble coffee - 1000 tonnes, - roasted coffee - 2950 tonnes But...Actual production? Gross Turnover of 1 Mil and Asking price 500K to 1 Mil (USD???) both seem to corroborate they only have small business despite size of plant, so how can the product be in 7000 outlets? Some wires crossed in there somewhere I'd say.
