After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

We rely so much on plastic rather than cash these days and I'm not saying that's a bad thing. But If there was a major incident leading to loss of
all data connections in your location (Internet, EFTPOS, ATM etc, salary/wage transfer), how long could you survive?
I'm no big social media user so loss of FB, Twitter etc would be the least of my worries. The article even suggests benefits - like actual human contact.
If it was power: well I have all the mechanisms for manual coffee brewing. I could even roast ( fz rr 700 Baby + gas cooktop or camp stove)
