After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

SOLD : Azkoyen Bravo Compact 2E

My trusty Azkoyen is up for sale so I can upgrade to a dinky little lever machine (a caravel I hope).

Two group, 7 or 9 litre boiler (can't remember and cant seem to find specs right now). It has a three leg element capable of 3600W, but currently tamed to run on 10amp power - choice of 1200W or 2400w as it has a multi-position switch. Rotary pump of course.

I dont really use the volumetric buttons, but they all work fine, just need programmed for your preference.

I insulated the boiler some time ago with insulbrite.

It has three portafillter handles - single, double and naked.

New element fitted about a year ago.  Currently running on a tank and with a large drip container. Ideally this machine should be plumbed in though.

Can supply either as 10amp or full 15amp configuration.

Price? $575 to crema members. If not sold here shortly, it will go on E-bay  and sell for whatever the market dictates.

Have attached a couple pictures, the last two show the cracks in the plastic on the top left side about half way back (repaired) and the split around the steam knob (apparently a common problem with this model). The cracks dont affect functionality and I think it still looks like a pretty nice machine.

Also take a look at old threads on repairs done <A href=http://coffeesnobs.com.au/brewing-equipment-extreme-machines-3000/18676-azkoyen-bravo-compact-2e-rebuild.html>; here</A> and <A HREF=http://www.bestcafes.com.au/forum/projects-rebuilds/azkoyen-bravo-compact-e2-2-group-rebuild/>; here</A>

Yeah, priced to sell rather than to make money is the intention (think I paid $650 plus repairs). If on ebay, I HOPE to make more, but who knows? I have learnt a lot repairing and using it, that is worth a lot to me. As long as I make enough to upgrade to a caravel, I'll be happy for now.  I need space more than the capability to steam milk which I never use. Wonder if I should advertise on other AUS coffee related fora. Whirlpool perhaps? CSnobs is out for obvious reasons.
  • She is now listed on the bay. 7 day auction. Last chance folks...
  • Machine sold on the bay. Mods, please mark as sold. Thanks
  • I hope the sale goes smoothly and you are appropriately remunerated.
