Went to Cafe Biz today.

It was a first ever visit to have a look see.

A pleasant way to spend the day away from my own work, bumping into "old" industry colleagues and making new contacts. In the end, while there was plenty of time, there wasn't enough time...

Thanks to our esteemed Crema Magazine publisher and Crema Website administrator for shouting us lunch and a beer (well, 2 actually).

Thanks to Sean and his team, industry people for taking the time to set up your stands for us, and the many speakers for sharing your knowledge.

Attilio Well put. Sean and his team obviously put an incredible amount of time and energy putting the show on the road. We also had an interesting two days and found the time worth our while especially from the networking angle. I enjoyed our conversation, although short. It is always good to put a name to a face. ok all you loverlies, time to REVIVE this one. 2004 Cafe Biz is on today. I've just done 3 days of Home Show in Canberra and due to this (you know, packing up stand, unpacking back at work and replacing stock etc to showroom & warehouse...excuses excuses) didn't make it to Cafe Biz this year. Anyone give us a rundown? Cheers, FC.

Yes, this year's [Sydney] Cafe Biz was held at the Overseas Passenger Terminal at the Rocks; I could only make it for an hour or so...seemed a little quiet, although I was there over lunchtime. Is Cafe Biz a useful event? Does it seem to be gaining increasing acceptance from the industry? Any other feedback? Admin.

Congratulations to Sean Edwards, from all of us here at Coffee Parts, for the extraordinary work the Cafe Biz team put togheter. cafe biz, well its really about pressing flesh, an important part of any industry, nice to see people out and about although my feeling is that it would have been productive to see more speakers giving lectures on current topics and trends, perhaps making this the focus could lend more room for growth. it was a good idea holding it in the overseas passenger terminal for the extra space although the space needed more filling out the barista comp was a good event and the standard is high congrats to Dom

Some feedback on the Cafe biz 2004 expo. [POSTED BY ADMIN ON BEHALF]: As a 4th time exhibitor at Cafe Biz the venue was a big improvement on last year's venue. We certainly found that VIP's that we invited were much more willing to come to a centrally located venue than a suburban one. Whether the venue attracted a larger crowd than before is debatable. I am unsure as to exactly what the attendance numbers were, but what the Kiss Marketing team are really good at is sourcing the smaller, out of the way potential cafe owners (sometimes in the rural areas)

I really enjoyed CafeBiz this year. What an awesome venue! Bring on next year!
