Aldi cheAp as chips roaster ?

Ok so actually it's marketed as a low oil (1tbs from memory) deep fried but it has a mounted halogen heat source and a constantly revolving 'pan' mounted underneath for $99

I haven't seen it in action and I'm not sure that the revolving motion of the pan would create enough aviation for an even roast but for that kind of money I'm tempted to try it!

A quick flick through the instruction manual says that it can handle up to 750g capacity so that's a reasonable sized roast

Only saw it at a glance don't think there's any control over temp settings but temp appears to cut out at 200C which is ball park for roasting

Ideas anyone ?

1) Don't think it will have enough heat and 2) the heat area volume will also be to large 3) The agitator is very slow @ about 10 PRM

Thanks KK As mentioned also on another site there's no way to get rid of the chaff Still... No doubt some will try but it's still a lot of $$$ to put down for something that's not purpose built for the job...
