After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Computers, what to buy?

  • A couple of months ago I upgraded my printer / fax to a wireless HP A HP office pro 8600 - http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Printers/HP-Officejet-Pro/CM750A?HP-Officejet-Pro-8600-Plus-e-All-in-One-Printer-N911g Works well for all wireless devices including ipads, phones and laptops KK
  • the only thing I have that is wireless is wifi coming from the modem which is good for guests. I don't really want to start buying more things like printers ect if I don't have to.
  • Yeah, I get that. Thing is I used to spend more on ink in 3 months than this whole setup cost, with a years worth of ink included...  And the improvement and convenience is outta sight in comparison. It was much, much cheaper to upgrade than persist with old technology... But each to their own.... Still hammering all your nails by hand are you? Got a compressor? Maybe a cordless nailer? The only certainty in life is constant change..... One step at a time....

I have an HP printer with large ink cartridges, just not wireless. I have had others that just sucked up ink so I know what your saying. I agree with upgrading, speaking of nail guns, I just bought a new coil gun and sorry I did, jams too often and end up hand nailing anyway.  I also never changed to Battery tools, good old plug in always goes, been on too many jobs when we were waiting for flat batteries. Still using my hand grinder too LOL
