Which one now?  I was with Integral for years with direct deposit, discounts ect, ect.

then out of the blue I get a red disconnection notice from Origin

seems the bought out Integral, had my email address wrong and are charging me to transfer documents over to them.

I'm with AGL because they give the best solar rebate. You shouldn't have to pay to get your power switched over!

There is a lot of CON going on with lektrickery provision. Its all the same power, from the same places, going into the grid, going to your home. Its wholesaled out to the various providers, and they charge out whatever works for them according to all their different plan offerings. Unless there is some reason why you would choose one provider over another (eg because of rebates wrt your solar panels etc), simply choose what's best for your back pocket. There are a few websites that compare charges from various providers, you just need to throw in your postcode, plug in your usage from your last account, and see what comes up. I simply choose the cheapest rate. Check annually, and change over if someone else is offering a better rate at the time. Note some areas are not deregulated so there is no choice other than the one supplier...
