Breville Roast Oven...Cheaper Behmor?

Today during a lunch break I bumped into the GoodGuys catalogue (easy read...).

Was advertised a Breville 22L Toast & Roast Convection Oven1500W  for $159

Hummm...If you fit a cylinder mesh onto the roasting shaft I wonder if this can become a coffee roaster?

Cheaper then the Behmor...

Anyone tried? Any thoughts on the feasibility of such oven?

I am not that game as to post this on the CS forum as this is definitely a 'non-sponsor' supply :):)

Disclosure: I am more than happy with my Baby Roaster for now... But curious and intrigued.

I also had wondered about this when Aldi had a similar product.  The issues will be the chaff and the fire hazard of chaff and exposed elements.  Also, the Behmor has fans for airflow and smoke arresters.  Still, I reckon there'd be someone out there who's had a try.

I had researched them and other ovens - and found that it would take more to convert than originally meets the eye Better option would be a gas type small BBQ over the oven you have noted KK
