After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

First roast on the new Behmor 1600 plus

Greetings. Have just received my new Behmor 1600 Plus and am looking forward to the home roasting journey. Any suggestions on what green beans that I should get to start learning process. I normally take long blacks. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

  • Hi mate,  awesome news  :thumb: Everyone will recommend different things but I'd grab some of these http://beangreen.com.au/product-info.php?pid106.html Both the Guatemalan and the Mexican are good! Cheap, tasty and they roast up predictably and nicely!
  • Brendan has 76 different beans currently on his website so finding something shouldn't be too hard. Brett's suggestions are good at the cheaper end for sure. Have had both of those in the past. Some favourites include Mexican Finca Kassandra Special Peru Grace Estate Panama Hacienda La Esmeralda Palmyra Estate Rider
