I am located in the USA not sure why there is a lack of Starbucks stores. Perhaps sourcing ethically there isn't practical, or perhaps the demand for Starbucks coffee isn't prominent there. I have never been to Australia. Do you live there? Are there other large chains of coffee shops there?

We have a very mature coffee culture as well as a very mature tea culture in Australia Anyway we have read in the press that Starbucks will now feature a Flat White in there offerings This style was invented in Australia and New Zealand For authenticity How will you be making this style in the USA KK

Hi there and welcome.  Great to have a Barista on the boards.  I'm interested in the Clover machine.  What can you tell us about that??  Is the Bunn Trifecta just as good for 1/5 the price? Starbucks failed in Australia because the quality of the coffee compared to our specialty cafes was seriously below par.  The coffee scene here is very mature such that investment-wise, put your money elsewhere!! I'm not denigrating the Starbucks brand, just stating what's now a lesson in business-academic circles.  The Brand still lives on here and the new owners are looking to expand the chain again with stricter rationalisation!
