Grinder terms

Hey all.

Once I have financially recovered I am thinking about upgrading my grinder. It won't be for a bit yet but I figure it is never too early to ask questions  :P.

Stepped/stepless, dosed/doserless. What does it all mean? I have Googled and found that X grinder is stepped or doserless but what do these terms actually mean?

steepless means in theory very finitely adjustable grind which is by far the best outcome as far as im concerned and steeped means pre-ordained 'spacings' which give you less margin for adjustment as they come pre-set doserless is grind on demand and doser means flick a switch to eject the coffee that has just been ground
