the Pale Ale thread

ok so every connoisseur-type thread has to have one … a pale ale thread.

I developed a taste for really good beer when I spent a couple of years working in Germany. Came back to Aust. and couldn't drink most of the beers, until I discovered this one [pic]. Not that it's like a german beer, but just that i couldn't find anything I could drink, until I found Little Creatures.

What's your poison of choice?

Great thread admin. I do enjoy my apple ciders on a warm day but generally I'm a scotch drinker. I do enjoy the occasional rum too. Coming from a Eastern European background I've also been brought up on rakija (raki/grapa) too and I'm currently going through a nice bottle of Mastika purchased overseas in 2003. Basically it's a spirit flavoured with mastic. It goes down nice straight up, or mixed into a Turkish coffee or warmed up with some caramelised sugar.

My ale of choice is Coopers Pale, once in a while I also enjoy a Sparkling, bit on the heavy side to have a session on.
