Bench height

I had been using my custom bench for my lever and I continued to use it for Oscar.  It's just been kicked out the house into the garage sale pile because the new kitchen is much bigger in our new house, so I can put it on a regular kitchen bench.  I was totally shocked how used to having the machine up high I was.

I now have to bend down to check out the nakid pours! lol.  Maybe I can call it exercise!  :rofl:

Maybe when time permits and trolleys are made I could build a small stand for Oscar with a draw underneath.  Projects, projects!  Too many projects!  :tearhair:

I had a colleague who renovated her kitchen and specified 1100 bench heights.  Yep!  You read that correctly.  She argued with every tradie that being a tall person that's what she wanted.  Needless to say after hand-over it was only two weeks before she realised what a mistake that had been.  I told her that the average life of a kitchen is 15-20 years and offered to make and laminate her a count-down chart for her fridge.  That was the last time she spoke to me  :rofl:

Hahaha.  I get a sore back washing the dishes.  I wish that area was higher but a stand bench top height is fine for cooking.

Dismantled and sold I'm afraid Trevor. It was fairly easy to make.  Just a kaboodle cupboard, sitting on a laminated base to get the height I wanted and then I just cut a bit of thick ply and mounted it on top.  Plenty of storage underneath for cup and equipment.
