It's been out for a bit.  I've not used one but understand that it has thermoblocks instead of boilers.  Supposed to be accurate temperature with adjustment and a better collar than the em6000 series it lives I reckon to compete with the Breville sitting in price between the Oracle and the Dual Boiler both of which have been Internet-trashed so they're possibly pretty good.  I'd always spend a bit more on an Italian machine because parts are interchangeable mostly and very readily available.  No machine lasts for ever.... They are hot boxes incorporating water, electricity and pressure.  I'd always choose one that can be easily serviced!!  My info comes from a mate who is a service tech!  He's not good, he's scary-good!!

I got it a bit wrong, it is actually a voucher for "Roses Now" or something, presumably they send out erm, roses lol. I still can't get this thing off my mind, I think it is a bit ballsy to try and pass something off for something that it isn't. Maybe I have just had too much caffeine :/.

Yep, this one was a big flop.  Had the looks but thermoblocks inside were a big no no.

It looked the part, I was fooled briefly - not that I am any expert. I'm  sure there are a few out there sitting on kitchen benches......for now.

I'm sure it's "possible" to get reliable thermoblock performance but to make a rough analogy - I haven't yet had a satisfying shower from a heat on demand system :-).  Balancing the heating and the flow rate is tricky.

Biggest problem with any Sunbeam is re-sale value. 1 year - 50% loss Prosumer machine 1 year - 20% loss I went through 8 prosumer machines in 10 years and lots very little

Spot on.  I just bought a second hand Bezzera for way less than one of those Sunbeams and it will be around a lot longer.

You can add Breville to that pile in my experience.
