After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Involved process of making espresso

edited January 1970 in Have your say

My first thought on watching this chap's (lengthy) process was; No wonder people choose to drink instant at home!  :P

He says "I use complicate, time-consuming way to prevent clumps. The grinder is La San Marco SM91."

It may prevent/minimise the clumping but it certainly increases exposure to the surrounding environment of the grinds from the grinder to the extraction!

  • Too bad his coffee is stale by the time he finally gets it too the machine ! I could've knocked out 10 coffees in the time it takes him to make one ! What a monumental OCD induced waste of time !

  • Yikes!! Will someone please tell him to stop. That's ridiculous! With all the time wasted between grinding and brewing it's no wonder the extraction was too fast.
  • Years ago Alan Frew posted a 'how to' in regards to 6 cappas in 6 minutes with a single boiler machine for dinner party guests.  This guy would have to start the day before!
