Double dosing

This is a bit scary - there was a report recently in the local rag about a teenager who worked in her father's coffee shop in Durham, England.

She ended up in hospital with palpitations and hyperventilation after drinking seven espressos - the only problem being that she didn't realise she was drinking double shots!

Wondered if anyone knows of anyone actually dying from drinking too much coffee?

Not sure where I read it, but in the last couple of days I read that if you consume 100gm of coffee it would be enough to kill you.

Depends on the relative quotient of caffeine in the robusta/arabica bean you're grinding + the dose tamped. The higher the caf, the higher the toxicity. 7 doppios lined up ... mmm, What bean was Dad using? Definitely not Nestle-Comptroller Decaf.

I quiet often drink 7 double espressos (poured short) in the space of a day - but then again, coffee. like alcohol, has made friends with my blood! P

Wow... that's 14 espresso hits a day :D I usually max at 5-6 (7gm) espresso hits a day. I haven't read any definitive negative reasons NOT to drink coffee, but in all articles I've read it seems to indicate benefits and also reduce diseases... but in moderation (just in case... well they have to cover themselves don't they?).
