After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
for those who are interested - apparently 2 young Costa-rican students have been working on a coffee machine that makes [filtered] coffee in zero gravity [BBC video]: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7671093.stm
Wait a minute, heating element to heat water, then piston used to force hot water through filter containing coffee, sounds familiar. Artical should read... Costa-Rican students rip off 1961 espresso machine patent to make drip coffee in space. But wait... There's more to it, for those of you who haven't used one before, check out http://www.aerobie.com/Products/aeropress.htm. It's pretty much the EXACT same as these students 'invented', except the aeroress has been around for years. For a laugh, compare the video with this http://www.aerobie.com/Products/videos/Aeropress.wmv
