After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

greetings from sunny queensland!

well... here i am again on the sunshine coast, where we will be based until the end of the month, and where getting a decent coffee is proving to be... er... baffling to say the least!  I mean how can you charge $4 for a cup of java and then serve crap?

thanks to Pioneer coffee i had a bloody great double shot latte at the airport, which I needed to wash down the gloria jeans cup of burned char that i had took one sip of at melbourne airport, before rapidly disgarding...

thankfully the outlaws have a filter system so we've been drinking some decent brew at home, but I'm just not game to touch anything when I go out, as very little seems to make the grade!

I think a trip to Pioneer at Yandina is in order to restore my faith in mankind...

having said that I am considering my next move in the coffee industry so perhaps a relocation to the coast  is not out of the question!

watch this space!

cheers and happy (belated) new years!

Pat

PS - we're limited to dial up at the outlaws place so I may only be posting sporadically till the end of the month!

  • Hi all. My family lives on the coast as well ,and so did I for a while. I found it quite hard as well to get a decent cup while visiting. I guess people up north are cought in the franchice world , needing education on the subject of coffee. Good luck on your next venture Pat.
