Rightly pointed out OE. People consume coffee for different reasons, and even when it comes to taste, I have heard of someone who has been to a well known coffee course out of interest, enjoyed the experience and tastes, but, at the end of her day, preferred her instant coffee. Similarly with wine, the best wine (or coffee) is the one you like the best. Forget this self-righteous pompousness about the fact that if you prefer the imported ground coffee you have no taste you are only in it for the glam factor, or if you prefer the Melbourne roasted coffee and you live in Sydney, you are doing a dis-service to your local roasters, etc. It comes down to your taste (and budget of course) as to what you like the best. Anyone who says your opinion is wrong, regardless of whether they are industry professional or simply an observer can go and get far out of here. Cheers Patrick

Over Extracted...you stirrer you, but you have a realistic point. If you have to indulge, a good instant may well be more enjoyable than rubbish "regular" coffee. Note however, I see them as being two entirely different products. So, you might have a good quality instant, or fresh coffee, or tea, or bonox, or gluwein, or whatever, as long as they are a good example within their product category. Patrick....I dont think so!   I dont really know too many people who would prefer to indulge in any product of low quality if shown the difference, and if the better product is available, affordable, or comparable in price, or just as convenient to make, etc, etc, etc. You gotta compare apples with apples.   I'm afraid the best is not the one you like best. The one you like best is simply the one you like best, and if it is a poor product, that's what it is, black and white. Now would you please hand me my glass of good quality lambrusco, and kindly tip that other cheap carbonated lambrusco down the sink! Fresh Coffee.
