After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

La Casa de Caffe Beans - opinions

edited January 1970 in Have your say
My wife went and bought me some coffee beans.  As mentioned in the title, they are La Casa de Caffe.

Forgetting unimportant things like taste, freshness, consistency....blah, blah, blah......it's amazing how easy it is to produce crema with these beans.  It doesn't matter whether the extraction lasts for 20secs, or 8secs.....there's always crema.

Ok...now I've delivered my message, and possibly upset the purists, I'd like to know where this brand stands alongside other beans.  Because I'm a man of "simple" tastes, no offense will be taken....I just want to know if I'm drinking good shit...or ?????

  • Hi Honest - remember La Casa is just a brand of coffee roaster. They are just one of many smaller Sydney coffee roasters, and they seem to have tried to make a marketing focus on their 'organic' beans. I don't make myself out to be an expert on the roasting side, but presumably the quality depends on the particular blend and roast profile of the beans that your wife bought. -A
  • You mean I now have to ask my wife some questions ? I don't normally talk to her because it's rude to interrupt  ;D
  • Honest_Gaza You are drinking 'good nuts'. La Casa del Caffe roasts some great coffee. I have used it from time to time at home for well over 10 years. I had some in a local cafe a few days ago and it was right up there... You're in good company Enjoy your next brew! John
