After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
We've all heard and seen the carry on between Woolworth's and Coles re cheap milk, just wondering what the reaction to Crema forum members is to all of this hoopla.
I understand the arguments re dairy farmers and producers of other foodstuffs being pressured to sell at or below cost as well as those who suggest we should boycott loss leaders offered by the big stores in an effort to support primary producers.
The fact of the matter is (as far as I'm concerned) price talks, if I can buy a product for 50% less and the quality is up to par then I will take advantage every time, it's all very well adopting an altruistic attitude however your the captain of your own ship/finances, if your happy throwing money away in the belief you are helping the poor hard done by farmers fair enough but I believe the vast majority of us (myself included) are primarily interested in the bottom line.
Viable producers will remain so, border liners are probably best off out of the industry anyway.
Do I use cheap milk in coffee? you bet, and I've found that it textures very nicely.
