After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Lot's of observations I could make about this story however some may rattle the cage of political correctness so will let you draw your own conclusions. ;)

    While it would be nice to have our own varietal, even if it were commercially viable as a crop (which, it wouldn't be likely to be), the chance of it being better than currently available coffee is slim to none. Plenty of other fruits/vegetables have "ornamental" varieties, and it's far more likely that this would be the same. When I can buy it to roast, I'll believe it.

    I'd be happy to roast a couple of kgs to see how it goes - maybe we should collectively offer our services to coffee and humanity to sample and taste test this enticing elixir!

    Hi there gang... Happy Easter / Anzac Day / Looooong Weekend, Speaking of Aussie coffee I have noticed that it has become increasingly difficult to source Australian green. I have been buying Basalt Blue from HAB but am keen on trying something different. Could anyone give me pointers on where I can buy good quality local grown green for a fair price? Thanks heaps, Bruce

    G'day Bruce, Cant say I've tried many varieties of Aussie coffee, however what I have tried has left me totally underwhelmed. I would be keen to try a locally grown coffee that has a combination of body and flavour, what I've tried so far is just the opposite. :-\  and I've had to pay a substantial premium for the pleasure. Hope you have had a good Easter break.

    Having quite an interest in Anthropology I'm aware of the what and  wherefore of Homo Erectus AM, was just trying to be a bit of a smart arse. :-[
