After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Cafe's to avoid.

edited June 2011 in Have your say
Drove down to Adelaide last Sunday, needed some gear from Dick Smith North Park, arrived 10.40am 20 min before they open so casting around noticed a Cafe, coffee time! big mistake, ordered a long black, scalding hot, not a trace of crema and tasted horrible, Heather's cappa was about a 3 out of 10.
I complained and was asked if I would like replacement which I declined, opted for a cappa as well, drank it but certainly won't make a return visit. :P

  • Sorry to hear about your bad cuppa, but generally I would think franchised restaurant type places are ones that i would avoid for a coffee.

I agree but it was there and we only had 20 mins, if I'd used my head the Coffee Barun is only just across the road, smacks forehead. ::)

Yeh i should of added that sometimes there are circumstances where you just want a cuppa and for whatever reason you can only go to this place or that place, often we probably regret it as you have indicated. Was at Barun today, had a fantastic ristretto and 2 caps.
