After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Down Down, is this the worst ad on TV at the moment.

The new Coles effort must be the most irritating ad on the box at the moment, looks like they tried to copy the Good Guys but didn't even come close.
Time to sack the ad agency.

  • I remember the worst ever adds from over a decade ago was " Where Do You Get It" The coles adds are tame in comparison KK
  • I only ever see blips of ads except in summer (when I watch live cricket). I tape all my shows on my media centre, and won't start watching a show if I can catch up to the live stream during the show. The most annoying ads I hear on the radio are the austar ones. GRRR.
  • Bad as the Coles one might be the one that annoys me the most is that little pop worm Beiber spruking zit products. I live in hope someone will pop him and he will dissapear into a spray of ..... devil5.gif

Yet to see that one, maybe I'm watching the wrong shows. ::)
  • I hate Joyce Mayne and Harvey Norman adverts.  Why they hell they think shouting at me and too talking fast is going to make me head to their store to buy their stuff I don't know.  I have made it my purpose to buy else where as a protest!  Also it's not a "secret sale" if it's on national TV.  Idiots!!! Agree with the coles ad.  I know exactly where they should be sticking their big red hands too.  ;D In the UK there used to be a little box that appeared in the corner of the TV which actually let you know when the adverts came on.  You could mute the TV BEFORE they even got a word in.  Heaven.  8)

and yet here we are talking about it. Sounds like a successful ad to me, no matter how annoying we all find it!  ;)

And tonight the cheesey Safeway counter add makes its debut.  ::)
  • I hate those Rug sales adverts that despite opinions to the contrary seem to bast ontonthe screen at 400 decibels with the company owner declaring savings of 50,60,90%, closing downs o get in fast... They've been closing down in Bris for a while now and evidenly haven't succeeded. Perhaps some kind person will respond to the years of closing down fire sales with a real fire and we'll be rid of them once and for all!

Notice they've already heavily modified it, edited the most annoying bits, so, how long did it last in it's original form? about a week (and that was a week too long I reckon) ;)

Think this comes back to the old (any advertising is good advertising mind set) then of course there are those in the (there is only one thing that can kill a product faster than bad advertising, and that's good advertising for a bad product) camp. When it comes to clever innovative ads the Target efforts are right up there. ;D
