After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Love the comments from the tragic's bewailing the fact that their cafe/barista of choice didn't rate a mention, all very subjective ain't it? ::)

    oh good lord. why did I even bother reading the comments? The first few were enough. There's plenty of good baristas around. Certainly more than 5, but at least 3 of those listed are the nicest peeps I've ever met, and have all been able to give me a very delicious drink, insanely consistently. Nonetheless a good article profiling some straight up tops blokes. Would have been nice to see a lady in there though!

    You have to admit, SYD and MEL are chalk and cheese with coffee culture.  The article is of course pitched at the average Herald reader, who of course, wouldn't know a great coffee if it was spilled down the front of them.

    that's not meant as a dig or slight at 2 of the 5 though. I've just never had a coffee from them.
